Not even the rain could stop the 600-plus runners who came to CERN on Sunday, 17 November, for a pre-Escalade training session. This was the first such collective training run hosted at CERN in preparation for the Geneva’s traditional Escalade race, which will take place on 30 November and 1 December, with more than 46 000 runners signed up this year. Runners of all ages congregated on the Esplanade des Particules for a group warm-up, before setting off on one of three routes.
