You are invited to the SESAME press briefing that will take place on Wednesday, 27 July at 12.50.
SESAME, based in Allan, Jordan, is the Middle East’s first and only synchrotron light source, and is currently preparing to start up for research. The full scientific programme, which will begin in 2017, will span fields ranging from medicine and biology, through materials science, physics and chemistry to healthcare, the environment, agriculture and archaeology.
At the press briefing, the speakers will be: Professor Sir Chris Llewellyn Smith, President of the SESAME Council, Professor Eliezer Rabinovici, Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and former Vice-President of the SESAME Council and Dr Gihan Kamel, SESAME’s infrared beam line scientist. The briefing will be moderated by Tim Radford.
